Chapter Meetings
We hold five bi-monthly chapter meetings from September through May, on a Saturday at a location near San Francisco airport. These feature some of the best presenters in NSA, as well as our popular "Meet the Pros" program once a year.
Mini-Meetings
On several occasions during the year, members host small evening meetings at their homes, typically to discuss one specific topic. We make an effort to spread these around the Bay Area.
Resource Center
At our chapter meetings we make available for sale — often at reduced prices — CDs, audiocassettes, books, and other items on every aspect of the speaking business.
Special Members-Only Events
You’ll be invited to two great parties each year as an NSA/NC member. Our MAD (Members Appreciation Day) get-together in the late summer and our annual Holiday Party provide you with the chance to meet your fellow members and form the relationships that make NSA/NC membership so valuable.
From time to time, we offer Celebrity Series events, where a prominent local or visiting speaker spends an evening with a small group of members, discussing a specific topic.
Meeting and Event Discounts
Save nearly the entire amount of your membership dues on meeting and event discounts alone. Your membership gets you reduced pricing on each regular chapter meeting, as well as special events. You may also attend meetings of our affiliated organizations at their member rates.

You’ll receive our monthly chapter email newsletter. This will keep you informed of chapter meetings and events, networking and news, and contains the best information from our meetings and members.
Networking
Make contacts within one of the largest NSA chapters in the country. You’ll find that members help members. Referrals, advice on running your business, connections, partnering, mentoring, and brainstorming take place between members in our own unique NSA/NC "family."
Chapter Involvement
Many of our members say their most rewarding experiences come from the camaraderie and synergy that comes from volunteering their time to work on NSA/NC projects. Event planning, promotion, logistics, product sales, audio-visual, and registration jobs need filling on a regular basis. You’ll work side-by-side with other speaking professionals and form close, rewarding relationships.
